Practical Drawing by E.G. Lutz
About the Book
The key word here is “practical,” the basic kinds of knowledge and skills that every artist needs to succeed. In the first section, E.G. Lutz covers the various aspects of drawing from initial stages of blocking-in or outlining the subject, adding shading, and drawing from the live model. The second section deals with human proportions of the body and the head. Later sections address different drawing mediums—charcoal and Conté crayon, watercolor, and pen and ink—as well as aspects of perspective and geometry, composition, lettering, rendering drapery and costumes, and so much more.
